Bird Dog Challenge!
On January 17th, 8:00 AM, we have an exciting new event to present to the club, the Bird Dog Challenge, put together by Randy Domingos. It's going to be a great competition, challenging both dog and hunter, requiring good shooting and attention to detail. Click here for more information. To sign up, please contact Randy as soon as possible!

Junior Pheasant Hunt
Bodie and I helped at the junior pheasant hunt at San Jacinto. Both flushing and pointing dogs helped the junior hunters get some nice retrieves. These three young men each got a couple of nice pheasants.
Upland in Idaho
Ryan Gelardi sent in more pictures from Idaho, including one in which you can see the bird falling and the spent hull flying! He harvested chukar, huns, and quail, all in the same area!
Wags and Brags
For those of you who didn't see it at the Shoot to Retrieve, here's an amazing portrait by Ron Dotson, commissioned by Mike Moran:
Ron says: "My painting of Mike and Nancy Moran's two girls, Katie and Annie. Thanks to photos taken by member Bryan Bonas during an outing at Mike's place in Oregon. Title is "Two Working Girls", also from the mind of Bryan Bonas. Composition is a compilation by me of several photos taken by Bryan and arranged to form a pleasing scene."
What a fine piece of work. Thanks for sharing it with us, Ron!
