Sad Goodbyes
Long-time club member Don Wilkie passed away of cancer earlier this month, of cancer. He led an amazing life (see his obituary, here).  A celebration of life will be held in his honor at the Stephen Birch Aquarium, November 14th.

Club Trailer

Ed Marr and Mike Linville did some great work in tearing out the old interior of the trailer and installing new flooring and shelves. Thank you for your hard work, guys!

A Worthy Cause: Dogs on Deployment

Recently, I ran into a man who is involved in an interesting charity called Dogs on Deployment. When servicemen and women are deployed overseas, DoD helps place their pets (not just dogs!) in loving homes while they are away. What a fantastic way to help those who protect our freedom! If you would like to learn more about this charity, donate, or volunteer, check out their website, here.

In the Field

Idaho

"I've spent the past couple weeks hunting Huns, chukar, quail, ruffs, and blues in northeast Oregon.  Generally good success.  The morning that I left for home my setter Maggie pointed four species in two hours.

The two guns are both Fox 16 gauge.  Upper gun is an A grade made in 1923, lower gun is a C grade that is 10 years older."
